When you cross the finish line after 80km, you should know that you find yourself on a spot with lots and lots of interesting history. You should find time to explore the area!

Grenserittet Cross Countries is one of the largest MTB Races in Norway and Sweden and the biggest MTB Race between two countries. 7000 competitors join in!

The limit is 7500 competitors and the limit was reached after just 23 hrs after opening for registration.

During the Grenserittet-weekend there are races for the whole family to attend! In addition to the "main event" Grenserittet Strömstad-Halden on Saturday, we have courses for both youth and children and a shorter course of 40 km if you find 80 km too long!
The race starts in Strömstad, a charming Swedish border town, and finishes at the stunning Fredriksten Fortress in Halden, a beautiful Norwegian border town. The trail is 80 km and you will experience some beautiful scenary on both sides of the border. The trail runs through various grounds and is fun and suitable for all skill levels.
You can easily access the area. We are situated between Gothenburg and Oslo, just a few kilometres from the E6 highway. The nearest airport, Rygge Airport is just 60 km away and Oslo Gardermoen Airport is 120 km away. Find out more
